Edmund Fitzgerald Memorial
On Monday
November 10 a memorial service was held for the Edmund Fitzgerald at the Dossin Museum in Detroit. This program was only available online through the webcast, the museum is only open weekends due to budget cuts.

The program started with a Lamp lighting ceremony held at the anchor of the "Fitz" located in the yard of the Dossin Museum. The ceremony was  followed by a talk from Capt. Don Erickson who searched for the Fitzgerald on Lake Superior the night of the loss. The ceremony marked the 28th Anniversary of the loss of the Edmund Fitzgerald on Lake Superior at approx. 7:00 pm November 10, 1975. Viewers from across the country were able to submit questions to the speaker online.
